Itineraries: Capri

One of the three wonderful islands of Campania has always inspired poets and fascinated all generations of the world.
The island's limestone source is the continuation of the Sorrentine peninsula, articulated on two plateaus; it is divided administratively into two municipalities: Capri and Anacapri.
The name of the island, meaning island of goats, dates back to the population italica, it was colonized, then in the 7th century BC by the Greeks of Cuma to become in the 5th century exclave of Naples.
The time seems to disappear near the Roman villa of Tiberius and that of Axel Milked, Villa San Michele which takes its name from the chapel built on the remains of a Roman Villa; or between the Certosa di Saint Giacomo dating back to the 14th century, and the Church of San Michele, designed around 1720 by Domenico Antonio Vaccaro.
The natural beauty can hardly be described, you must involve the five senses to be captured by the scent of citrus that feeds the production of perfumes, by the smell of the sea, which invites you to dive into its waters and to imagine the fisherman who in 1826 rediscovered the Grotta Azzurra, maybe after a Millennium; and perhaps you can capture all this in an instant from Monte Solaro.
Marina Piccola is the point of embarkation to visit the Faraglioni and green cave.
The Faraglioni are the symbol of Capri, like monuments that rise from the sea, proud of being namede as Stella, Faraglione di mezzo and Scopolo, scoglio delle Sirene, the farther away from the coast which hosts the rare specie of light blue lizards.
