Marina di Stabia was born from the cooperation of a group of managers of Castellammare di Stabia with prestigious Financial institutions, President of the Board of Directors is Dr. Giovanni Battista La Mura.
The harbour was built in the oriental area of Castellammare di Stabia. The main target is to make the requalification of the disused area concerning the old Italian Metallurgical Yards, one of the symbol of the stabiese industrial supremacy in the past.
The harbour's plan was signed by Conti & Associati of Udine, meanwhile the waterfront (under construction) was planned by the architect Massimiliano Fuksas.
The opening was on june 2007, and now, the work in progress of the harbour is improving day per day thanks to the reserved area for mega yacht until 80 Meters. This kind of ship is the great chance of the Yachting for the new millenium.
Marina di Stabia will be soon one of the leader society in the golf of Naples.
